Concern for welfare in car park leads to arrestThe concern for welfare was for a man, 63, in a car parked in the Brewster Street car park of Lismore Square.

Emergency services were called to the Lismore Square shopping centre car park in Brewster Street after a concern for welfare call about 6.55pm Friday night.


Richmond Police District said in a statement officers arrived at the scene and found a man slumped over the steering wheel of a car. They had a look inside the man's car and allegedly located methylamphetamine, cash and a mobile phone.


The man, aged 63, was arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station.



Following inquiries, police searched a home on Cathcart Street and allegedly located hashish, cannabis seeds and gold chips within a safe, believed to be unlawfully obtained.


The man was charged with supply prohibited drug, deal with property proceeds of crime, two counts of possess prohibited drug and good suspected stolen in premises.


He was refused bail and was to appear before a registrar in Lismore Local Court on Saturday 30 November.
