The Lismore Rugby Club's Colts and Women's teams have progressed through to Preliminary Finals after victories on Saturday.

Both sides contested Minor Semi Finals in Ballina, with the Women taking on Byron Shire and the Colts tackling Yamba.

The Colts match started out a very even contest, with both sides working hard to find an advantage.

Lismore held a slight 14-10 advantage at the halftime break, but fitness and experience allowed Lismore to score 3 second half tries to run away 31-17 victors.

The Women had a similar story, leading by just 3 points at halftime, 10-7, but a strong second half, which resulted in 2 converted tries allowed the Green's to run away with the match 24-14.

Both sides will travel to Ballina in two weeks time to contest the Preliminary Finals.
