Colemans Bridge in North Lismore will be closed for the next three weekends from this Saturday (November 30) due to maintenance work by the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS).

The bridge will be closed from 7am Saturday to 6pm Sunday each weekend until December 15.

The RMS will carry out the work, which involves restressing the stress laminated timber deck, strengthening trusses, replacing the existing traffic barrier, repairing the bridge surface and walkways, and repainting the bridge truss and walkway handrails.

Weekend closures will resume after the Australia Day long weekend in 2020.
