Far North Coast Softball's Lachlan Coe has been selected in the NSW U/19 Softball team to contest the National Championships in Perth.

Lachlan combines his passions of both softball and baseball, juggling representative commitments in both sports.

Lachlan and his family have recently returned home from a trip to the USA with a touring NSW Baseball team before the selection announcement was made.

Coe is following in the footsteps of his mother and grandmother, who are both softball players with FNC.

Hard work and dedication from Lachlan and his family have lead to his selection, travelling to Sydney and playing for Southern Districts as well as training with the NSW team right up to the Nationals titles.

The balancing act is not only with his sports of baseball and softball, but the Year 11 student at Trinity Catholic College also has to fit in schooling as well as the constant travel.

The next goal for Lachlan is to continue his good form and come under the selectors eyes for the Australian team that will be selected from the tournament.

Coe still has a number of years in the U/19 side as he will only turn 17 in November.
