A school bus crashed into the rear end of a garbage truck in Goonellabah this morning.
A NSW police statement said the incident happened at 8.40am on Pleasant St on the corner of Rous Rd, between Fischer St and Shearman Drive.
“After reports about a bus involved in a crash, police officers, NSW Fire and Rescue and ambulance officers attended the scene,” the statement said.
“The driver and ten students were unable to exit the bus due to damage sustained to the bus door.
“After a short time, they were removed through an emergency exit window.
“At the scene, three students and the bus driver were treated for minor injuries.
“One student was taken to Lismore hospital as a precaution after saying she had neck pain.
“All students on the bus were wearing seat belts.”
The bus involved was from Northern Rivers Buslines.
