Those that use the Lismore Bangalow Road can expect delays for the next seven months as Transport NSW carries out flood resilience improvement work.

From tomorrow (Tuesday 31 January), single-lane, alternating traffic flow arrangements will be in place while we raise and widen the existing road and replace a culvert to improve flood resilience, travel efficiency and safety on Lismore Bangalow Road.

Work will be carried out from 7am to 6pm weekdays and 8am to 5pm Saturdays and we expect this work to be complete by the end of August 2023.

No work will be carried out on Sundays or public holidays.

Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place 24/7 for the safety of workers and motorists.

Motorists should allow up to five minutes extra travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
