One of Lismore's most used roundabouts will have maintenance work carried out tonight from 6 o'clock.

As a result there will be changed traffic conditions at the Dawson and Uralba streets roundabout between the CBD and the Square.

To minimise impacts to motorists, work will be carried out from 6pm Monday 16 to 4am Tuesday 17 November.

Work being carried out will provide a safer and longer-lasting roundabout.

Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control, lane closures and a 40km/h speed limit will be in place during work hours and may affect travel times.

Motorists should allow up to 10 minutes extra travel time during this work.
