Celebrating our Northern Rivers School Leaders

Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan has held his annual School Leaders event in Lismore with over 300 students, parents, and teachers.

The event recognises the important role of school leaders in our local school communities.

“This is a great opportunity to celebrate the leadership, responsibility and pride our young people show in their schools,” Mr Hogan said.

This year’s guest speaker was Norm Black, co-founder of travel company TripADeal. Mr Hogan said Norm’s story of perseverance and vision struck a chord with the audience.

“Norm’s journey—from humble beginnings to building a successful international business—was incredibly inspiring. His message about resilience, taking chances, and backing yourself really resonated with the students.”

“I want to acknowledge the teachers, mums, dads, carers, and grandparents who took time to come along and support these young leaders. Our community is stronger because of the encouragement and guidance they provide.”

“The future is in good hands.”

Each school across the region received an invitation to pass on to their Student Representative Councils and elected student leaders.
