Later this morning, Mayor Steve Krieg will announce the latest numbers on the CBD occupancy rates with another increase on the cards in the last six months.
Not factored into those numbers will be Trident Fish and Grill, the latest business to declare its intention of opening in the CBD.
You may have experienced the popular fast food joint in Main Street, Alstonville but soon residents of Lismore will only need to travel to Keen Street as the franchise renovates and opens its shop in old Red Rooster building next to Lismore Central.
On their Facebook page, the owners of Trident said:
Trident is making its way to Lismore after months of searching for the perfect location. The old Red Rooster site at 181 Keen Street, next to Lismore Central, will soon transform.
Over the next few months, our Lismore trades will join forces to bring this space together!
For those unfamiliar with us at The Trident, our commitment is to Australian Wild Caught seafood & community connection. Everything, from our sauces, desserts to salads, is all made on site.
Our burgers are 100% local meat, showcasing our dedication of Australian & local produce, or you can select fresh seafood, local prawns & oysters to enjoy at home.
For our gluten-conscious friends, fear not! We’ve got your back with our gluten-free batter and making most of our menu gluten-free.
Mark your calendars, Lismore ! We can’t wait to share this adventure with the Lismore community, Be ready for our OPEN DAY !

Our Alstonville location is remaining open it will continue to serve up the same fantastic food with the same epic team. No changes, just the same delicious experience you know and love in both locations. Lismore has been on the agenda for some time now & we can’t wait !
Another CBD business is another positive sign in Lismore's flood recovery.
