CBD roadworks on Saturday will cause lane closures

Lismore City Council plans to carry out works on Conway Street, Keen Street and Molesworth Street in the Lismore CBD this Saturday, 7 September 2024 commencing at 6am.

The works are 'subject to weather', but with The Bureau forecasting sunny skies and a top of 29 degrees, they are looking certain to go ahead.

The roadworks involve heavy patching of Conway Street, Keen Street, and Molesworth Street, commencing at 6am and continuing until about 4pm.

Traffic controls will be in place during the roadwork period, which will cause minor delays and disruptions. These traffic controls include:

  • Conway Street: During works on the roundabout approaches on Conway Street, traffic control measures will be in place.
  • Keen Street: A temporary (northbound) traffic lane closure in place between Lismore Central and Magellan Street.
  • Molesworth Street: A temporary road closure will be in place as we work along Molesworth Street between Woodlark Street and Browns Creek Carpark.

Traffic controllers will direct all lane closures, and traffic lanes will reopen once the works are completed. Road users are asked to follow on-site signage and directions given by traffic controllers.

You are asked to follow the signposted detours in place, obey traffic control instructions, drive carefully and have some patience.
