Lismore City Council will be rolling out a range of safety and amenity upgrades across the CBD, starting Monday (4 August), that will cause some traffic delays. However, that will be minimised, as the work is undertaken at night.
Works include line marking, new bollards, updated tactile indicators and roundabout fencing to improve safety and accessibility.
Line Marking Works (Overnight 7pm to 4am)
Night 1 – Monday, 4 August
- Conway Street – 40km/h markings and pedestrian crossing.
- Molesworth and Keen Streets – Pedestrian crossing markings.
Night 2 – Tuesday, 5 August
- Molesworth, Woodlark and Keen Streets – Pedestrian crossing marking.
- Temporary traffic control and intermittent road closures will be in place. Please avoid parking on affected streets from 6pm both nights.
Other CBD Upgrades:
- Tactile ground indicator upgrades and stainless-steel bollard replacements on Woodlark, Molesworth and Keen Streets (minimal traffic impacts; some footpath access may be restricted).
- Continued installation of black safety fencing at the Molesworth/Magellan roundabout to enhance visibility and pedestrian safety.
Council asks that you follow signage and directions from traffic controllers.
