Catch up matches scheduled for FNC Rugby Union

A number of catch-up matches have been scheduled for this weekend in Far North Coast Rugby Union.

The competition has a general bye round scheduled on Saturday, due to the Wallabies versus the British and Irish Lions match at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

It is a great chance for any matches that were postponed earlier in the season due to the wet weather to be played.

In the First Grade match that was played on Thursday night (team lists below), Wollongbar Alstonville defeated the Casino Bulls 39-15.

The Pioneers jumped to an early lead and never looked back, eventually scoring six tries to three.

It now moves the Pioneers to the top of the table, one point in front of Ballina.

In a close Reserve Grade match, the Pioneers scrapped in 15-14.

Also on Thursday night, Lismore travelled to Byron for another Reserve Grade catch up match, going down 31-10.

The Lismore Women will also play their catch up match on Saturday against Kyogle at Brunswick Heads at 4:20pm.

The Women will look to stay in touch with Casino at the top of the ladder.
