Casino Truck Show causes traffic changes on Bruxner Hwy on Saturday

For those travelling to Casino on Saturday, there will be changed traffic conditions on the Bruxner Highway for the Casino Truck Show.

Changed traffic conditions will be in place from 9.30am until mid-afternoon.

As part of the truck show, a parade will start at 10am and will travel along Johnston and Centre streets (Bruxner Highway).

Speed restrictions will be in place on Johnston Street at the Cassino Drive intersection, with traffic control and police stopping general traffic flow for up to 10 minutes at a time to allow the parade to proceed.

During this time, Summerland Way traffic heading south towards Grafton or towards Mallanganee will detour via Farley, Colches and Richmond streets.

Road users travelling south along the Bruxner Highway towards Grafton or Mallanganee will detour via West and Richmond streets.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area during this time, but if travel is necessary, allow extra travel time and follow the directions of police and traffic controllers on site.

For the safety of motorists and event participants, the following local roads will be closed for the Casino Truck Show from 5am to 6pm:

  • Barker Street – from the intersection of Centre Street to Hickey Street
  • Walker Street – from River Street to Pratt Street
  • Canterbury Street – east of the Dominos driveway to the west of Coles car park driveway
  • Richmond Street – from the intersection of Walker Street to Graham Place
  • Graham Place – from the intersection of Walker Street to the Aldi car park driveway
