There was a car crash on the M1 at Cumbalum near Tamarind Drive at 12:24 this afternoon that closed the northbound lanes.

Initially, one of two southbound lanes were closed as well. However, at 2:22pm that changed to one of two northbound lanes remains closed.

Emergency services, the Crash Investigation Unit and Transport for NSW were in attendance.

The advice from Transport for NSW is to reduce your speed, exercise caution and allow extra travel time.
