Bunnings is looking to reopen its South Lismore store by the end of June.

In a statement to the Lismore App Al Harvey, Bunnings Regional Operations Manager said:

As the clean-up and re-fit efforts continue at our Lismore store, we are pleased to share that we’re aiming to re-open before the end of June.    

Over the past two and a half months, teams of specialists have been busy making sure that the building is hygienically safe, ensuring structural integrity, rectifying any store-related damage, rejuvenating floors and rebuilding

amenities, such as the in-store café and team facilities.

Our Lismore team is now back on site helping to re-rack and re-merchandise to ensure the shelves are stocked and the store is ready to welcome customers back in the coming weeks.   

As we move closer to our re-opening date, we’ll be packing up our temporary carpark pop-up site to focus our efforts on the store preparations. Customers will still be able to order online, using our Click & Deliver service, or visit our nearby Ballina or Byron Bay stores. 

We know that this has been such a challenging time for many, and we would like to thank our 164 team members for their resilience and hard work as they prepare to re-open the store. We also thank the community for their patience

and understanding during this time.  

We’ll continue to keep the Lismore community updated once we’re closer to re-opening. We know our team are loving being back together and they’re really looking forward to welcoming the community back into our Lismore store.  

Lismore really is rebuilding one day/one week at a time which is rebuilding confidence in our city.
