Bruxner Hwy open as police reveal more details of accident

The Bruxner Highway was reopened at 10 o'clock last night following a serious two-vehicle crash at Alstonville yesterday.

Police have said a man is in a serious condition following the incident which occurred shortly before 6pm (Monday 13 May 2024).

A Toyota Camry travelling west on the Bruxner Highway, Alstonville, and a Holden Commodore travelling east, have collided near the Wardell Road overpass.

The driver of the Commodore – a 70-year-old woman – sustained minor injuries and was taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Richmond Police District have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
