The Bruxner Highway has reopened to all traffic following a motor vehicle collision at the notorious Cowlong Road/Alphadale Road intersection earlier today.

Richmond Police District closed the Highway between Cowlong Road and McLeans Ridges Road while the accident was attended to by emergency services.

There were no injuries.

There have been many accidents at the intersection, recently the speed limit was reduced from 80km/h to 70km/h.

In March 2023, Member for Lismore Janelle Saffin and Labor's John Graham MLC, then NSW Shadow Minister for Roads and Shadow Minister for the North Coast announced $7.5 million to construct a roundabout if Labor won the March 25 election.

There has been no word on when the roundabout construction will go ahead.
