Brothers look to build momentum in Hooker LeagueIsrar Mahbood returns for Marist Brothers at Oakes Oval.

Marist Brothers posted a positive win over Lennox Head in Round 3 of the LJ Hooker League competition and will look to continue there momentum this weekend.

Marist Brothers will host Alstonville at Oakes Oval in a crucial match for the Brethren who would love to see last weeks win kick start the season.

Brothers will be without batsman Pat Martin who looked strong last weekend with 92 off just 54 balls.

Martin will be travelling to Warragul in Victoria as coach of the Trinity Catholic College Open Boys Cricket Team who will contest the Australian Marist Cricket Carnival next week.

Israr Mahbood returns after several weeks out and if he sees the ball well early, the Alstonville side will be busy.

Daniel Hamshaw and Ashley Simes have also been solid with the bat in recent weeks.

Captain Brendan Mitchell comes off a haul of 7/63 last week and will again be the strike bowler for Marist Brothers.

Weather may play a factor in the match with the weekend forecast not looking good, with cloud and showers predicted both days.

The Round 4 matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday this weekend to allow for Round 5 to be played prior to the Christmas break.

The is scheduled to commence at 1pm on Saturday.
