There really are some wonderful charities helping our community like the Lifeline Distribution Centre and Thread Together at the Lismore Showgrounds, the Food Distribution Centre on Wyrallah Road, Resilient Lismore, the Koori Mail to name a few.
Baby Give Back is another charity worthy of a mention, one that we touched on very early on during the flood recovery.
Baby Give Back has been working with local business Sheaffe Motors to order and replace baby items that parents with young babies have lost since February 28.
Nicole Sheaffe told the Lismore App "Honestly, Carly and her team have helped so many families - 434 in the month of March & 252 so far for April."
Carly, is CEO of Baby Give Back Carly Fradgley and the items they supply are cots, prams, car seats, clothing and essential items like food, formula, nappies & so much more.

Carly started the Baby Give Back charity 5 years ago out of her garage after noticing the gap in the market for providing great quality second-hand baby items to vulnerable families which is why they also partner with social service agencies, midwives and other charitable organisations.
Baby Give Back is based on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane and started with the belief that every child deserves an equal start to life by providing essential items to families in crisis.
When the devastating floods hit our region, Carly was one of the first charities to expand their support network and because of that both of their warehouses have been overflowing with donations from incredible people far and near in support of the cause and wanting to support our community the best way possible.
The community of Baby Give Back from Carly, her mum, the volunteers, and the team have been making daily visits with supplies from their warehouse to Lismore. Nicole describes them as "true angels".
Carly understood that the impact of the floods meant the usual way of working wasn’t feasible for the hundreds of families who needed the items immediately. To streamline this process and ensure families could easier access the items, an online form (click here) was created and shared with the community.
The items are then packaged up and delivered by Baby Give Back volunteers and staff to Sheaffe Motors at 25 Casino Street, South Lismore where families in need can collect their packages and if they need anything more, they can reorder and collect additional items from Sheaffe Motors.

"The partnership between Baby Give Back and Sheaffe Motors started with a phone call, where we realised how together we could provide the essentials that our community needed. Baby Give Back is committed to helping the Northern Rivers for the long haul and has dedicated new resources to ensure support from our community is provided daily," Nicole said.
