Southern Mariners are Australian Senior League Champions for the second time after topping MacArthur in extra innings in Lismore on Wednesday night.
It was a long day after a two hour plus rain delay caused the Championship Game to run into the evening. The game was originally scheduled for a 1:30pm start.
The hero's for the Mariners were Otto Moje who drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth and Genevieve Beacom who shut the door as the Mariners sealed an 8-7 win in the Gold Medal game at Albert Park Baseball Complex.
