Appeal to locate missing woman who may be in Byron Bay

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing who may be in Byron Bay.


Rachel Kinkhead, aged 48, was last seen in Swansea on Thursday, 26 September 2024.



When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Tweed-Byron Police District commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.


Police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare.



Rachel is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165-170cm tall, of medium build with brown/orange hair.



Police have reason to believe Rachel may have been in the Byron Bay area on Thursday, 10 October 2024.


Rachel is known to frequent the Byron Bay and Mullumbimby areas.


Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to call Tweed-Byron Police District or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
