Appeal to locate missing woman from Lismore: Found!

Good news!


The 42 -year-old woman missing from Lismore has been found safe. 


Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance. 


ORIGINAL STORY


Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Lismore.


Sonthia Mikkelson, aged 42, was last seen in Lismore about 12pm on Friday, 5 April 2024.



When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Richmond Police District were notified on Friday, 1 November 2024 and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.


Police and family hold concerns for her welfare as she lives with several medical conditions.



Sonthia is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of thin build, long black hair, blue/grey eyes and a crucifix tattoo on her right hand.



Sonthia is known to frequent the Lismore, Ballina, Byron Bay and Nimbin areas.


Anyone who may have seen or who have information into her whereabouts are urged to contact Lismore Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
