Appeal to locate a man missing from Lismore

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from East Lismore.




Stuart Bailey, aged 73, was last seen at a home on Esmonde Street, East Lismore, about 9am today (Sunday 25 December 2022), before he was due to travel to Byron Bay.



After failing to arrive in Byron Bay, and unable to be contacted, officers attached to Richmond Police District commenced inquiries to locate him.


Family and police hold concerns for his welfare due to his age and a medical condition requiring treatment.



Stuart is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm – 175cm tall, of thin build, with long, grey hair and blue eyes.


He was last seen wearing a pink polo, long beige pants, reading glasses and is believed to be travelling in a 1995 white Hilux utility bearing registration plates ‘BYZ5MF’.


Anyone with information about Stuart’s whereabouts is urged to contact Lismore Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
