Appeal for assistance after teenage girl approached at Evans Head

Police are appealing for information and footage after a teenage girl was approached at Evans Head.


About 2pm yesterday (Wednesday 26 June 2024), a man allegedly approached a 14-year-old girl at the foreshore of Evans River, Elm Street, Evans Head and touched her leg before walking away.



Officers attached to Richmond Police District are investigating the matter and are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and has dashcam or CCTV footage.


The man is described as being of Asian appearance, aged between 20-30-years-old, about 170cm tall, medium build, with black hair and acne scars. He was wearing a t-shirt and black shorts.
