The 2026 ANZAC Day Cup competition kicks off this weekend in all divisions, with plenty of action across the region.

After weeks of dry conditions, the rain has arrived just in time for immediate question marks on the Friday night matches.

In Men's ANZAC Day Cup Premier League action, on Friday Richmond Rovers host Lennox Head at 7:00pm in what will no doubt be damp conditions in East Lismore and Alstonville host Ballina at 8:00pm at Crawford Park.

On Sunday, Casino RSM Cobras travel to Byron Bay for a 4:30pm match and South Lismore will travel to Mullumbimby to take on MBVFC at 4:30pm.

It will be an interesting pre-season, with Lennox Head working hard in the off season to improve results, Casino testing themselves in Premier League and Rovers adding more junior talent to senior teams for the 2026 season.

Byron Bay will again be strong, and Alstonville have started with an early victory in the NNSW Regional Super League after defeating Moore Creek FC 1-0 earlier in February.

In last week's Callan McMillan Memorial Shield results there were several big wins when Byron Bay defeated Lismore Thistles 10-0 and Alstonville defeated South Lismore 9-1.

There is one match to complete Round 1 on Sunday when Richmond Rovers will host Pottsville Beach at 4:30pm in East Lismore.
