The famous lines from Laurence Binyon's 1914 poem For The Fallen can be heard live once again throughout Lismore and surrounds tomorrow as we commemorate ANZAC Day 2021.

While people made the best of 2020 with recordings of the Last Post and the famous line being played on portable speakers in the front yard of their homes it was not the same as sharing the remembrance with family and friends at a recognised cenotaph or memorial.

While this is the case for Lismore there are some towns that are asking for people to observe the Light Up The Dawn service at the front of their drive-ways again like Alstonville and Ballina. The Dawn Service will beheld for sub-branch members and their familes.

In Lismore the details of when and where you can participate in ANZAC Day 2021 are:

Dawn Service

5:00am at the Lismore Memorial Baths, Molesworth Street, Lismore NSW, Australia 

You will be required to sign-in using a book or through your NSW Services QR Code on your mobile.

March

5:05am at the Lismore Memorial Baths, Molesworth Street, Lismore NSW, Australia 

Those wishing to March form up at the old post office corner Molesworth and Magellan Streets ready to step off at 0505hrs

Main Service

9:00am at the Lismore Memorial Baths, Molesworth Street, Lismore NSW, Australia 

Form up bottom end of Molesworth Street adjacent to Brown Creeks Car Park ready to step off at 0900hrs, commemoration service and wreath laying will commence on the completion of the march.

All participants will be required to sign in via our QR Code or sign in books

North Lismore War Memorial Service

8:00am at the North Lismore War Memorial, Alexandra Parade, North Lismore

Clunes

9am: Anzac Commemoration Service at the Village Park.

Nimbin

5.30am: Dawn service at Allsop Park, 67 Cullen St, Nimbin

10.45am: Anzac Day march, muster at 10.40am at the Nimbin Hospital followed by the march to the memorial, then traditional two-up at the pub.
