On the morning of the funeral of popular and much loved local Paul O'Neill, comes news that Lismore has lost another famous local name in business and the community, Frank Vanz.

Frank Vanz served the Lismore community for 53 years (1971) through Frank Vanz Lismore Tyre and Mechanical.

Condolences are flowing in for Frank Vanz on various social media pages. Some mention two generations of family help while others loved working for him and others mentioned his 'big heart'.

Frank Vanz's funeral notice said he passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday (19th March 2024) aged 84.

He is survived by his wife, Lilibeth, children and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Requiem Mass to celebrate the life of Frank, to be held at St Carthage's Cathedral (Leycester Street) this Saturday, 23rd March, 2024 commencing at 8.30am.

Following the church service burial will take place at the Lismore Memorial Gardens Lawn Cemetery.

Vale Frank Vanz.
