It is a big year ahead for Lismore sport, as dates emerge for the major events on the local calendar.

Winter sport season schedules are being finalised, with registrations open for most sports and team numbers being compiled.

The Lismore Speedway and Lismore Turf Club have plenty of action pencilled in for the first half of the year, and the region has several significant events throughout the year.

Far North Coast Baseball will host several national championships in 2026, and the Lismore Workers Golf Club will again play host to the NSW Open Qualifier in July.

Community events continue to go from strength to strength, with the Darrel Chapman Fun Run and the Samson Challenge looking at record numbers again this year.

Local sport will again feature heavily throughout the next 12 months, with more dates and events to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
