A big name for Old Tie Club Function

The Old Tie Club has secured a big name for their annual luncheon this. month.



Current CEO of Rugby Australia Phil Waugh will be the special guest for the dinner on Friday 28 June.


Waugh had an exceptional playing career before turning his hand to administration.


The 44 year old played 136 Super Rugby matches for the NSW Waratahs and 79 Tests for the Wallabies at open side flanker.



He was Vice Captain of the Wallabies during the 2003 World Cup campaign, where they lost the final to England.


Waugh was awarded the John Eales Medal as Best and Fairest for the 2003 campaign.



The Old Tie Club Function will be held at the Byron Bowl on Friday 28 June from 11:30am, with tickets $120 per person.


All proceeds from the day will go towards supporting Far North Coast union rugby players.
