As the rain continues to fall, the Northern Rivers sporting fields and golf courses become unplayable once again.

One registered charity, the Mid Richmond Education Fund, raises funds to help young people who need a boost to help them along with their career plans.

They have two major fundraising events each year: an end-of-year raffle and a golf day at the Woodburn-Evans Head Golf Club.

The first date was meant to be in May, but due to a saturated course, the golf day was cancelled.

Now, it is Take Two for the Mid Richmond Education Fund committee as they have set a new date to raise these much-needed funds; Sunday, August 24.

The golf day is a 3-person ambrose with breakfast at 7am and a shotgun start at 8am.

So dry out your clubs and have a swing to help those struggling to reach their dreams.

Visit or call the golf club on 02 6682 2385 to book your team or find a place. The cost is $35 per person.
