Rous County Council is unlike other councils.

We are a small and unique organisation situated in the heart of the Northern Rivers of NSW, with an operational footprint covering 3,000km2. 

We play a vital role in the surrounding communities and are deeply connected to the environmental services of bulk water supply,

weed biosecurity, and flood mitigation infrastructure across various local council areas.

About the Role

The main responsibility for this role is to create and manage high-quality, engaging content for a new website, ensuring it aligns with our identity and visual elements while meeting technical accuracy.  

You will work closely with the project team to maintain consistency and enhance the overall brand experience. 

This is a Part time fixed term contract up to 6 months.

Your average workday will be kept busy by:

• Creating engaging content for our new website. 
• Working closely with the project team whilst collaborating with other departments to gather insights to incorporate their input into content creation
• Bringing our brand’s identity, values, and target audience to life through your writing
• Conducting thorough reviews and edits for accuracy, clarity, and grammatical correctness, while accepting and integrating feedback
• Ensuring content accuracy and relevance through thorough research and engagement with technical staff
• Monitoring content performance and make data-driven adjustments to improve engagement and effectiveness

Note: Council is preparing to relocate from Molesworth Street Lismore to Gallans Road Ballina in 2025.
