The Role
You’ll be the welcoming face of our Lismore branch, helping walk-in customers, answering inquiries, and guiding people toward the right product solutions.
This role also involves supporting the smooth operation of the showroom through a range of administrative and reception duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand customer needs and configure product options to suit
- Create accurate quotes using V6 software and process smaller sales
- Follow up on leads and help convert showroom visits into confirmed orders
- Coordinate with internal teams (credit, delivery, technical) to ensure smooth operations
- Manage reception duties, including answering inbound calls and general inquiries
- Perform banking, act as timekeeper, and upload safety/competence records in Oracle
- Conduct pre-production calls to customers and scan/upload completed sales orders into Oracle
- Assist with showroom administration and maintain accurate records
- Develop product knowledge from technical specifications through to installation advice
- Meet key targets around quote accuracy, follow-up, response time, and customer satisfaction
About You
You’re eager to learn, not afraid to ask questions, and motivated to provide a positive customer experience.
You’re technically minded, comfortable with numbers, and just as confident at a computer as you are face-to-face with customers.
You’ll also bring:
- A warm, professional communication style (written and spoken)
- The ability to absorb technical product info and explain it simply
- Strong admin skills and attention to detail
- Drive to meet goals, help your team, and build relationships
- Experience or training in a trade or technical field is a bonus (certifications welcome!)
- Industry knowledge is nice, but not essential, we’ll train the right person
This role can also be a stepping stone into a Sales Representative position within the G.James Group for those who want to grow.
