Council should be about good team work in the best interests of our community.
As a specialist Emergency Physician at Lismore Base Hospital overseeing a busy emergency department on my shifts, I value the knowledge, experience, skills and perspectives of each of my colleagues as we strive to provide the best possible care to all patients in often complex and challenging circumstances. If elected, as a Councillor I would bring the same commitment to serving our community, working as part of a team to ensure the fair, transparent and consultative operation of Council.
My partner and I are fortunate to live in the beautiful wilds of Whian Whian. We are privileged to be part of a vibrant, supportive community, passionate about the restoration of Big Scrub rainforest and the protection of both it and Widjabul Wia-bal sacred sites from the building of a destructive, expensive and unnecessary Dunoon Dam.
In addition to working as a doctor and looking after our land, I am also a musician and poet. The creativity of the people in this region is one of the many reasons that makes Lismore such a great place to live.
I am happy to be standing on the Greens ticket for Council alongside our lead candidates Cr Adam Guise and Virginia Waters. Together with my fellow progressive councillors, I look forward to being a representative for our community on a rejuvenated Council that truly cares for all its people and this special part of the world we call home.
