The award-winning Richmond River Historical Society Museum has one of the best historical collections in regional Australia.

The Lismore museum is located in the Goonellabah Community Centre. It is not currently on exhibition.

The museum is volunteer-run and contains a Research Centre with extensive archives and resources.
