Northern Rivers Waste was established in 2000 as a business unit of Lismore City Council to undertake its waste operations. It manages the Lismore Recycling and Recovery Centre, the Nimbin Transfer Station and the Brewster Street Drop-off Centre as well as all domestic collections and a commercial collection business.
