Introducing Lewis Taylor, candidate for Lismore City Council.

A local resident and teacher, Lewis is someone whose family was personally affected by the 2022 Lismore floods, Lewis witnessed the impact this natural disaster has on people first hand. This informed his decision to run for council, as he believes an effective collaborative local council is vital if Lismore and the surrounding communities are to recover from this disaster successfully.



He will be using his candidacy to advocate for three chief issues related to the flood recovery process;

1. Assisting those affected by the floods effectively rebuild their lives.

2. Expanding housing availability in the Lismore Region, particularly for young people as well as low to middle-income residents.

3. Expanding employment and educational opportunities for young people in the Lismore Region.

Lewis looks forward to a Council that works towards finding practical ways to address issues and to see a positive change in the way Lismore City Council responds to the community and its concerns.
