With a teaching qualification from NRCAE and a second degree in Social Sciences through SCU, Lismore has provided Glenys with opportunities to work in the public sector, community sector and at TAFE.
Her passion for Lismore led to her being elected to Lismore City Council between 2012 and 2016.
Glenys, a member of Labor’s Environmental Action Network (LEAN), is also concerned that Lismore Council lead by example in the fight against climate change and ensures the protection of Lismore’s beautiful environment is always part of the conversation.
“As a Labor councillor, I will represent everyone and collaborate with other elected representatives to get the best outcomes for our City”
Respectful conversations, consultation and accountability are key factors that Glenys hopes to achieve as a Lismore City Councillor.
“I love this City and want to see it grow and flourish. I see the only way to achieve that is a balanced representation on Council”.
