CASPA Services Ltd are asking you to help put a smile on the face of an awesome young person this Christmas by getting behind their Kids in Care Christmas Gift Donation Drive.
Northern Rivers and Mid-North Coast residents are encouraged to donate a gift for children in care who can't live with their own families this Christmas.
CASPA CEO Naarah Rodwell, said Christmas can be a difficult time of year for children in care, so this initiative helps put an extra present under their tree. “I think a cause like this really hit homes for a lot of people - it’s a small thing to do that can make a big difference, we get to see the other side of someone’s generosity and assure you it goes such a long way”
“The Young People in our care have suffered more trauma and disadvantage than many people will endure in a lifetime, and such a small act, like receiving a gift from a stranger, goes so far in creating hope and a sense of belonging for these children who have been let down by so many people in the past,” she said.
Naarah added that donating a gift to a child in need is a lovely way of sharing the spirit of giving in your office or home.
Donations must be new, in original packaging, unwrapped and suited to a 12 to 18-year-old male or female.
CASPA will continue collecting gifts for their Kids in Care Christmas Gift Donation Drive until December 18th.
