SERVICES

Osteopathy

Osteopaths typically employ gentle, non-invasive therapies such as muscle soft-tissue work, joint mobilisation or manipulation, stretching, and exercises. Additionally, they offer valuable education and advice to support each individual and their healing process.

As university-trained and government-registered healthcare professionals, osteopaths prioritise understanding your medical history, lifestyle, and body dynamics. Allowing them to create personalised treatment and management plans. Through hands-on treatments, tailored advice, and comprehensive management strategies, osteopaths aim not only to alleviate immediate pain but also to foster long-term well-being and injury prevention.

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is a therapeutic treatment designed to address specific health concerns and injuries. It involves the assessment and manipulation of muscles and soft tissues to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and promote overall well-being. Our skilled therapists use targeted techniques to treat conditions such as muscle tension, sports injuries, chronic pain, and postural issues, ensuring a personalised approach for optimal recovery and relaxation.

Health fund rebates are available.

JEMS Movement Assessment and Therapy

JEMS Movement Therapy is a holistic approach to physical therapy and rehabilitation that focuses on improving movement efficiency and quality. Developed by physiotherapist Joanne Elphinston, JEMS stands for Joanne Elphinston Movement Systems.

This therapy combines principles from biomechanics, neuroscience, and psychology to help individuals move more effectively and with less pain. It emphasises natural, fluid movements and aims to enhance physical performance, prevent injuries, and support long-term health.

Laura Kavanagh is our JEMS-certified clinical rehabilitation practitioner. Laura helps clients achieve better body awareness, coordination, and overall functional movement.

Recommended for persistent aches, pains and injuries that require a more holistic approach.  A thorough movement assessment can reveal the often unconscious movement habits that may be keeping an injured area under load. Highly specific, indvidualised movement repatterning that puts you at the centre.

Typically, a series of 3-5 private sessions is recommended. Sessions are 1 hour duration.

Pelvic Health and Perinatal Care Appointments

Osteopath, Betty McKew has completed additional training in pelvic health and the perinatal care of women.

She can offer external and internal pelvic release work for women experiencing issues such as pelvic organ prolapse, immobile scar tissue, dyspareunia, interstitial cystitis, coccydynia and diastasis recti.
