About Us

We are a husband & wife team that provide a design & construct service in the beautiful Northern Rivers.

Our dynamic ensures excellent communication and collaboration between builder, designer and client.

Josh has been in the construction game since 2005, when he first started his carpentry apprenticeship.

Not long after finishing his qualification he started a carpentry business partnership in Queensland, where he gained a lot of experience over several years.

His love of construction saw him complete his Certificate IV in Building & Construction in 2014, when he also started a construction company, the beginnings of what is now Figtree Building & Design.

After working on several large unit complex projects in Brisbane, the decision was made to move back to Josh’s home roots in NSW, the Northern Rivers.

Since moving back, Josh has thrived on completing many houses in the local area - projects which he has felt the most passion for in his career so far.

Kimberly has always had a love for good design and creating spaces and she channels that through her work as a Building Designer.

She graduated from QUT in 2017 with a Bachelor of Design (Architectural Studies) and will continue her education in 2020 by returning to complete her Masters of Architecture.

She has had experience working with an interior designer and worked for several years as a Kitchen Designer, prior to her work at Figtree Building & Design.

Kimberly now enjoys the challenge of designing and drafting new houses and extensions in the Northern Rivers area.
