The sun is out, and the Wardell River Festival 2025 is happening this Saturday, August 30th

A Day to Celebrate Music, Community & River Culture

The Wardell River Festival is a new and vibrant one-day event celebrating community, creativity, and culture by the Richmond River. Held in the heart of Wardell, this all-ages celebration will showcase a lively program of music, markets, food, art, and activities that bring people together to connect, create, and celebrate.

The day will feature a fantastic live music program with youth bands and emerging talent kicking off from 1:00 PM, followed by main stage acts into the evening.

• Kids Activities – Lantern Making & Crafts
• Food Trucks, Pizza & Local Eats
• Sunshine Sugar Cooking Contest
• A family-friendly celebration of Wardell’s spirit, resilience, and river life.
• Connect with local community organisations caring for and working with the Richmond River

This event is presented by Wardell CORE Neighbourhood Centre, with support from the Ballina Shire Council, Sunshine Sugar, Ballina RSL and a host of local partners.
