The next guided walk in the Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens is on Sunday, October 26 at 10am with Andreas.
This walk is designed to show visitors the local dry rainforest plants used by Aboriginal people for over 40,000 years, for medicine, tools, food and shelter. The walk begins in the Sensory Garden and continues into the Useful Plants Garden. Plants are labelled, and signage also gives extra details about these wonderful native plants, which you can grow in your home garden.
It is a shady, unpaved walk, with one small incline. Wear sturdy shoes, long sleeves, pants and a hat. Bring water.
Morning tea available after the walk in the Visitor's Centre (gold coin donation appreciated).
Email booking is essential as numbers are limited publicity@friendslrbg.com.au.
Meet at the Visitor’s Centre at 9:45am for a 10am start for a one-hour walk. $5 per adult, children free. Now, cash or card.
Friends LRBG is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation that was founded, manages and maintains the Gardens. Thanks for your valued support.
